Employment Relations Record and IERA Journal

The Employment Relations Record is the journal of IERA’s regional affiliate, the Pacific Employment Relations Association. At the end of 2014, it was resolved to combine PERA’s activities into those of the parent association, IERA.

As a result of this operational change, the Employment Relations Record will be combined into IERA’s journal, the International Journal of Employment Studies. This change will come into effect from January, 2016.

If you would like to make an inquiry about the IJES, or submit a manuscript, please contact the editor of the IJES, Professor George Lafferty (

22nd IERA Conference scheduled for 10-12 July 2017 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The IERA Executive has previously reviewed the operations and organisation of the association in the light of the decision to integrate PERA into the operations of IERA.

July is now the regular time for IERA Conferences.  This time makes it much easier for academics from the Northern Hemisphere to attend, and will hopefully also avoid any scheduling clashes for those in Australia and New Zealand.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kuala Lumpur next July!

IERA (Europe) is a regional association of IERA. It hosted a symposium on 30th January in London in association with the Work and Employment Research Unit of the University of Greenwich. The President of IERA (Europe) is Professor Paul Latreille, Sheffield University Business School, and its Secretary/Treasurer is Patrick McGurk, Principal Lecturer, University of Greenwich.
